Australian Tourist Visa
Anyone who wishes to travel to Australia for tourism or leisure purposes will require an Australian tourist visa.
Australian tourist visas are now issued electronically and are known as an Electronic Travel Authority or ETA.
The cost of this visa is only per applicant.
An ETA is issued through our computer system operated on behalf of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs of Australia.
This authority to enter Australia as a visitor is electronically assigned to your passport.
When you check in Airport staff will confirm that you have a valid Australian tourist visa electronically as opposed to the old system of having a stamp in your passport.
An Australian tourist visa is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. You may enter Australia on this visa for as many visits as you wish during this time. However, no single visit may be longer than 90 days.
Employment is prohibited when entering using Australian tourist visas.
In order to apply for an ETA tourist visa you must hold a valid passport from one of the following countries:
- Hong Kong (SAR)
- The Netherlands
- Republic of San Marino
- South Korea
- United Kingdom - British Citizen
- United Kingdom - British National**
