When applying for an Australian working holiday visa you will be asked to confirm that you meet the visa financial requirements. In order to be eligible for Australian working holiday visas you must have sufficient funds to support yourself for the first part of your holiday. The amount considered to be sufficient funds is £2000. You will only be asked to provide proof of this upon entering Australia. Spot checks are carried out on a proportion of travellers in Australia. Acceptable proof would be a certified copy of bank statement.
You may also be asked to demonstrate that you have either a return or onward ticket to depart Australia. If you do not have this you must prove that you have the funds available to purchase a travel ticket. This visa financial requirement applies to all visitor visas.
