Skilled Migration – How do I apply?
Not everyone is eligible to apply for Skilled Migration, there is certain criteria which must be met. If you are aged between 18-44 and can meet the set criteria, you may be eligible to apply.
• Step 1 – Points assessment
You must first complete a points self-assessment. We will provide you with the form and information required to complete it. Your points total will give us an indication of which type of Skilled Migration you may be eligible for. You will need to return the points form to us together with a copy of your current CV (including your date of birth) and details of your nominated occupation. We will then verify your points total.
• Step 2 – Skills assessment
Once the correct visa has been sourced and your points verified, the next step is to have your skills assessed by the relevant assessing authority. We will provide you with the details of the assessing authority relevant to your nominated occupation. You will then have to contact them and arrange to have your skills assessed.
• Step 3 – Supporting documentation
We will provide you with a check list of all documented evidence required to support your application. All documents must be certified copies, originals are not normally required.
• Step 4 – Sponsorship (if applicable)
If you are applying for Sponsored Skilled Migration or Regional Sponsored Skilled Migration, your next step will be to apply for sponsorship. We will provide you with the relevant application form and information required for this.
• Step 5 – Skilled Migration application
Once you have successfully completed your skills assessment and sponsorship application (if applicable), you will be ready to complete the actual visa application. We will send you the form to complete and assist you wherever necessary.
• Step 6 – Medical examinations
After submitting your application, you and your family will be required to undergo health checks to support your application. We will provide you with the relevant forms for completion by a Doctor/Radiologist who has been approved by the Australian Embassy (we will provide the list of approved clinics).
• Step 7 – Tracking your visa
Once your application has been submitted, we will keep a regular check on its status and advise you of any further information which may be required to support your application and also of any progress made.
