Spouse / De-facto / Fiancé Application
The Spouse visa allows you to travel to Australia on the basis of your de-facto or married relationship when your partner is either an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen. The Spouse visa will allow you to live and work in Australia until a decision is made on your permanent Spouse visa.
To apply for this visa you must first register with our company at a cost of $96.00 USD.
Married
When applying for the Spouse visa you and your partner must be able to show a mutual commitment to a shared life together. You must be living together and have a genuine and continuing relationship.
De-Facto
You and your partner must have been in a de-facto relationship for a minimum of 12 months immediately prior to application. You must provide evidence of having a mutual commitment to a shared life together, that your relationship is genuine and continuing and that you live together.
Relationship Evidence
You must be able to satisfy certain requirements including:
- Knowledge of each other’s personal circumstances.
- Financial evidence – joint commitments such as property or other assets and every day household expenses.
- Nature of living arrangements.
- Statements from friends/acquaintances confirming the social aspect of your relationship (stat dec forms will be supplied).
- Commitment, including the duration of your relationship, how long you have lived together and your future intentions for the relationship.
Both you and your partner will also be required to provide statements regarding your relationship history including details as follows:
- How, where and when you first met.
- How your relationship developed.
- When you decided to start a de-facto relationship or when you decided to marry.
- Your domestic arrangements including how you support each other physically, emotionally and financially and when this commitment began.
- Your future plans.
Other costs to take into consideration include medical checks, police checks, document certification and any other requests made by the department.
